Your identity is never shared unless you choose to disclose it. After you submit, you'll get policy-aware AI guidance and the option to talk to HR, ethics, or D&I.
You choose how much of your identity SafeSignal holds. You can raise a concern without giving your name at all.
You do not sign in. We store only a one-way hash of your private recovery link, so you can return to your case and message HR without ever revealing who you are.
| Mode | Who can see your identity | Can HR come back to you? |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous | Nobody. SafeSignal does not ask for or store your name, email, employee number, or any sign-in. | Yes — through your anonymous case link only. |
| Confidential | Only case handlers your organisation has specifically authorised. Your details are stored apart from your report, and every single time someone opens them it is recorded. | Yes — directly, by authorised handlers only. |
| Open | The case handlers in your organisation working on your report. Your name may be used when they speak to witnesses, respond formally, or record the outcome. | Yes — directly and on the record. |
One thing to keep in mind
Even in Anonymous mode, the details you write can indirectly identify you — for example dates, locations, team size, or events only a few people witnessed. Share what you need to, and leave out details you are not comfortable with.
